“I started cooking at 15 and haven’t stopped since. After earning Michelin Guide recognition, I joined BaxterStorey in 2016 as a Chef Manager. Today, I lead a 22-strong team at Almac, with plans to double. The Chef Academy and Management Development Programme gave me the skills and confidence to grow now I’m passionate about mentoring others to do the same.”

“I started with BaxterStorey in 2009 as a General Assistant at Dublin Zoo, and since then I’ve worked my way through kitchens, operations, and now finance. From Commis Chef to Chef Manager, General Manager to my current role as Finance Manager, each step has brought new skills and challenges. Along the way I’ve competed in Chef Ireland, won Rising Star of the Year, and completed the Advanced Management Programme. What I love most? Here, if you’re willing to learn and work hard, there’s always another door to open.”

“I started out as a bartender in Italy, running a busy Irish pub with the owner-chef. When I joined BaxterStorey Ireland in 2021, it was as Supervisor at Dublin Zoo’s Chicken Hut but I grabbed every chance to grow. From HACCP Level 5 and QQI training to joining the Zoo’s Sustainability Team, each step built my skills. In 2024, after completing the Management Development Programme, I stepped up to Location Manager for a brand-new site. Hard work and the right support have made all the difference and BaxterStorey is the place to find both.”

My career has always been in hospitality, but joining BaxterStorey in 2021 opened a whole new world. I started as Hospitality Supervisor and, with mentoring and training, worked my way up to General Manager at PwC Belfast. The Management Development Programme has been a game changer, boosting my confidence, building new skills, and connecting me with colleagues across the business. I love that I’m still learning, still being challenged, and seeing my team thrive every day.

I joined BaxterStorey in 2022 and quickly found myself thriving in the high-energy environment of a large location. In just two years I’ve grown in confidence, sharpened my people skills, and embraced challenges I once would have shied away from. The Management Development Programme was a real game changer from building finance and health & safety knowledge to presenting confidently in front of 35 colleagues. BaxterStorey has given me the tools, support, and encouragement to grow and I’m excited for what’s next
