Celebrating International Women’s Day
This year, we celebrated International Women’s Day with activities centred around the theme “Give to Gain.”
Across our locations, teams got their hands in the flour to bake cookies, raising funds for Women’s Aid, to support the vital work they do for women and families experiencing domestic abuse. Combining till sales and online donations, our incredible teams have raised over €1,400!
We also hosted a virtual “Give to Gain” session, where women from across the business shared inspiring stories about the impact of giving back in both their professional and personal lives.
Claire Flynn, Promotions Coordinator with Mental Health Ireland, spoke about the important work the organisation does and how giving our time, energy, and support to others often gives us so much more in return – strengthening both our communities and our own wellbeing.
Louise O’Riordan, People Manager, also spoke about the vital work of Women’s Aid, reflecting on how during COVID-19, when many of us were asked to stay safely at home, this was not a safe space for everyone. Her story highlighted the importance of the charity’s work and why supporting organisations like Women’s Aid and giving back is so important.
Inspiring personal stories were also shared by:
- Fiona O’Callaghan, who spoke about running the Women’s Mini Marathon and the powerful sense of community it brings.
- Dee Mahon, who shared her motivation for taking on the Dublin City Marathon in 2025, while raising funds for our charity partner Mental Health Ireland.
- Collette Armstrong, who discussed her volunteering with suicide prevention charity PIPS in Northern Ireland, another charity partner close to our hearts.
The session also highlighted the importance of giving back through volunteering days, supporting organisations like Mental Health Ireland and PIPS, and celebrating the women who inspire us across our teams and communities.
